What types of RVs does BayCampr offer?
BayCampr currently offers Class C drivable RVs and lightweight Travel Trailers designed to be towable by many SUVs and trucks.
What’s the difference between a motorhome and a travel trailer?
Motorhomes are RVs that you drive and ride inside while you travel. There are different types of motorhomes described by type. A Class C RV is built on a van chassis and is typically a Ford or Mercedes based vehicle with an over-cab bed. Renters like Class C RVs because they feel like driving a large van more than driving a bus.
Travel Trailers are towable RVs designed to be pulled behind a capable truck or SUV setup with a tow package.
Which RV is best for first-time renters?
Most first timer renters prefer a Class C RV because it is less intimidating than a Class A to drive and the systems are somewhat less complex.
How many people can each RV sleep?
Sleeping space varies for each unit but is generally 2-3 for our smallest units and up to 8 for the largest. You can review each RVs details on their detailed RV pages on the site.
Do I need a special tow vehicle to tow a travel trailer?
You will need a capable SUV, Van or Pickup which has a frame mounted receiver hitch, 7-pin trailer wiring harness and a trailer brake controller. Check each units specific weights to determine what will work for your tow vehicle.
Can I leave the trailer at the campsite and drive my vehicle separately?
Yes! This is one really nice feature of a towable RV. Since you have your tow vehicle with you, you naturally have a vehicle you can use to get around wherever you are visiting on your trip.
