RV Rental Insurance & Protection
RV Rental Insurance Overview
Every BayCampr rental includes protection options through Roamly Insurance, a specialty RV insurance provider. During booking you can choose the coverage level that fits your comfort level and travel plans.
Protection plans typically include:
🛡 Liability coverage
🚐 Physical damage coverage
🛠 Optional roadside assistance
✈ Optional trip protection
Protection coverage generally works on an excess basis.
If you have personal auto or RV insurance that applies to rentals, your policy may be used first. The protection package then serves as secondary coverage for the rental.

Using Your Own Insurance
Some renters prefer to use their own personal auto or RV insurance instead of purchasing a protection package during booking. In some cases, insurance providers can extend your existing policy to cover a rented RV for the duration of your trip.
Not all insurance companies allow policies to be extended to peer-to-peer RV rentals. You must confirm this directly with your provider before your trip.
Some insurance companies can issue a temporary binder or rider extending your policy to cover a rented RV for specific travel dates. This document confirms that your policy provides liability and physical damage coverage during the rental period.
Ask your provider:
-
Does my policy cover rented motorhomes or travel trailers?
-
Does my policy extend to peer-to-peer rentals?
-
Can my coverage be extended temporarily for the rental period?
-
Can you issue a binder, rider, or certificate of coverage for the trip?
