All rentals require insurance coverage during the rental period. Depending on the booking, coverage is provided either through the rental platform's protection plan or through a renter's approved personal insurance certificate or endorsement. Coverage details, limits, and deductibles vary by the applicable policy.

Optional Interior Protection is also available to renters during checkout to help protect against accidental interior damage.

BayCampr guides owners through the applicable insurance process during onboarding and assists with claim documentation should a covered incident occur.

Yes. Most rentals require a refundable security deposit.

The security deposit encourages responsible use of the RV and may be applied toward unpaid fees or damages not otherwise covered, subject to the rental agreement and applicable platform policies.

The security deposit is separate from the renter's insurance coverage. Insurance remains the primary source of protection for accidental damage during the rental period, while the security deposit helps cover items such as excess cleaning, missing equipment, unpaid mileage or generator charges, fuel or propane shortages, and other contractual charges.

BayCampr handles security deposit administration and post-rental documentation on the owner's behalf.

Managed Consignment units are added to BayCampr's commercial insurance policy, which provides coverage while the RV is being managed outside of active rentals, including storage and BayCampr operational use. Owners are generally expected to maintain a personal policy for their own use of the RV. Commercial insurance costs are passed through to the owner as part of the monthly statement.

Partner Hosted owners are responsible for maintaining a personal insurance policy that permits rental activity. Because many standard RV policies exclude commercial rental use, BayCampr can recommend insurance options that are designed for peer-to-peer rentals.

Damage claims are handled through the renter's policy insurance protection process.

We assist with:

BayCampr's Managed Program begins with a 12-month initial term so your RV can experience a full rental season and allow us to optimize pricing, marketing, and utilization. After the initial term, the agreement continues month-to-month and may be terminated by either party with 30 days' written notice.
