Baja is a lightweight bunkhouse designed to be easier to tow without feeling cramped once you arrive. Its 7-foot-wide body is narrower than traditional travel trailers, while the dinette slide-out opens up valuable floor space through the center of the camper.

​

Inside, Baja includes a residential-size queen bed, dedicated bunks for the kids, a convertible dinette, full kitchen, private bathroom, air conditioning, and heat. It sleeps up to five while remaining compact enough for many properly equipped midsize SUVs and half-ton trucks.

 

Baja is also especially capable for dry camping. Its upgraded 280Ah lithium battery and 400-watt solar system provide substantially more usable power than a conventional RV battery setup, making it a strong choice for Yosemite, coastal campgrounds, mountain trips, and other campsites without electrical hookups.

At pickup, we’ll walk you through towing, hitching, and trailer operation so you can leave feeling comfortable. A weight-distribution hitch is available upon request, and an external trailer brake controller can be rented if your vehicle does not already have one.

Baja is a lightweight bunkhouse travel trailer rental available in San Jose, with an easy-towing 7-foot-wide design and a slide-out that gives families more room to relax at camp. It’s a great fit for Yosemite, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Bay Area camping trips.

What's Included In The Trailer Rental

Baja comes ready with the basics; no cooler needed here. Cooking, eating, and cleaning supplies are included, along with a kitchen setup with a microwave, two-burner cooktop, and a large fridge with a separate freezer.

There’s heat, A/C, and a water heater, plus a private bathroom with toilet, and shower with skylight. Linens are included, and bedding is available if desired.

​

For towing, a weight distribution hitch is included, and a trailer brake controller is available if your vehicle needs one.

Tow Vehicle Requirements

Baja is lightweight and commonly towed by midsize SUVs and half-ton trucks like the 4Runner, Tahoe, Explorer, and F-150.

 

To tow Scout your vehicle should have:

  • 2" Receiver hitch (frame-mounted)

  • 5,000 lb minimum tow rating

  • 500 lb minimum tongue rating

  • 7-pin trailer wiring connection

  • Trailer brake controller (can be added to rental if needed)

  • Weight-distributing hitch is available at no extra charge​
